Frequently asked questions

Do your sweaters itch?

Our merino and baby alpaca sweaters don't itch — the fibres are finer than the threshold your skin can feel. Traditional sheep's wool is coarser; that's its natural character, which some people love and others prefer to wear over a T-shirt.

How do I choose the right sweater size?

The easiest way: measure a favourite sweater that fits you well (width under the arms, length, sleeve length) and compare it with the measurements table on the product page. For custom orders we send simple measuring instructions.

How should I wash a wool sweater?

Rarely and gently: by hand in lukewarm water (max. 30°C) with a wool detergent, or in the machine on the wool cycle with no spin. Always dry flat. Day to day, airing the sweater out is enough. You'll find the full guide on our blog.

Can a wool sweater go in the washing machine?

Only on the "wool" or "handwash" cycle (30°C, max. 600 rpm, no extra spin), in a laundry bag and with wool detergent. We recommend washing alpaca sweaters by hand only.

Does wool cause allergies?

A true allergy involves lanolin — the natural wax found in sheep's wool and merino. If you're allergic, we recommend alpaca, which contains no lanolin. A "wool allergy" is most often just irritation from coarse fibre, which merino and baby alpaca don't cause.

Do wool sweaters pill?

Natural wool pills moderately during the first weeks of wear — that's the normal behaviour of the shorter fibres, easily removed with a fabric shaver. Alpaca pills the least, merino moderately. An acrylic sweater, on the other hand, pills forever.

How long does an order take?

We knit made-to-order sweaters in 2–4 weeks, depending on the stitch pattern, size and yarn weight. Ready-made styles from the collection ship within 2–3 working days.

Can I order a sweater in a different colour or size than listed?

Yes — that's our specialty. We can make any style from the collection in a different yarn colour, a non-standard size, or with alterations (longer sleeves, a turtleneck instead of a crew neck). Write to us through the contact form.

What wool do you knit with?

We use only 100% natural yarns: merino wool, baby alpaca and undyed wool from Polish sheep. We never use acrylic, polyester or any other synthetic fibres.

How can I buy a sweater?

We currently take orders through the contact form — tell us which style you're interested in and we'll reply within 24 hours with payment and delivery details. An online shop with payments is in the works.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship throughout the European Union. The cost of international shipping is quoted individually with each order.
